Easy Charts and Graphs
By Clayton Crooks
Building charts and graphs for your Web site can be arduous. Although there are several applications that you could use to create graphs, the resulting output is often limited to a few file formats and static representations of data. With PopChart Xpress, you can quickly develop, deploy, and host PopChart images. These are charts and graphs that offer interactive features, such as popup text, and also provide chart viewers with instant access to additional information.
Creating the Graphs
PopChart Xpress uses an intuitive, simple wizard and template approach for creating the graphs. The PopChart Xpress wizard is similar to a typical spreadsheet wizard and defines the graph's or chart's appearance and formatting. You begin by selecting a standard project or a template project. The wizard helps you set up both types of projects, but the template approach is much easier. If you choose a template-based project, in the next step you choose from several categories of charts including vertical, horizontal, line-bar, pie, stock, and X-Y formats. In each of the categories, predefined options for the charts control formatting. For example, you can choose between 2D and 3D styles.
